In physics and optics research laboratories and precision measurement systems, motorized translation stages are an ideal alternative to manual stages when high-precision positioning, defined step sizes, and good repeatability are required. Motorized stages are widely used in optical microscopes, AFM systems, interferometers, holography systems, optical tweezers, and various optical setups.
Phylabs has developed the MOTS-A-50 motorized translation stage by integrating a motorized module with its manual translation stages. The system provides better than 10 µm positioning accuracy and a travel range of up to 500 mm. Equipped with a linear guide, ball screw, stepper motor, and linear encoder, the system enables motion control and monitoring via USB and dedicated computer software, with support for control through various programming languages.
A joystick module is also available separately, allowing the translation stage to be operated manually without the need for a computer.
